Whistler Blackcomb Season Report

We have had no shortage of snowfall in Whistler this year. On the mountains, there have been plenty of powder days and the groomers are, as usual, groomed to perfection. In fact, we have seen 13cm of new snow in the past 48 hours!

Conditions on the mountain today are, by all reports, spectacular! It is not too warm, it is not too cold, the winds are great, and all the runs are open.

With all that said, it should come as no surprise that is has been a busy season for visitors so far. In fact, we can break it down by the numbers:

  • Visitors so far since September 2015:   560,000  (a 17% increase over the same time last year)
  • Season pass sales:   1% higher than the same time last year
  • Forward bookings:  4% higher than the same time last year

So what does all this mean for real estate? In an already busy market, the amazing winter season so far and increased visitor numbers can only mean good things. More people are coming to experience Whistler and many, if not all, of them are guaranteed to fall in love with our resort.

Stay tuned for my 2015 year in review market report coming soon and make sure you get up here to take advantage of the great snow conditions!

In fact, this weekend is the perfect time to come visit Whistler and take advantage of Never Ever Days – Learn to ski / snowboard with a full beginner lesson + lift ticket for only $25! You will not find a better deal than that.
