Back Country (back-coun·try) noun: skiing or riding in unmarked or unpatrolled area, usually in pursuit of fresh fallen powder snow. The allure of backcountry skiing and riding has increased over the last few years and many resorts, as well as manufacturers, are filling this demand with innovative products and services. I’m sure glad they are, because I love it! It’s important to ensure you’ve got the right training, gear and bulletins to make help make your adventure safe and prepare you for avalanche and glacier hazards.
Friends and I ventured to the Back Country and camped overnight. Here are a few photos from our adventures.
