The Benefits of Using a Buyer’s Agent

Date Posted: March 21, 2014

Real estate agents are trained to provide valuable assistance to buyers in the following areas:

  1. Identifying desirable types of properties to acquire
  2. Locating properties available to view and consider
  3. Preliminary investigation and timely information gathering
  4. Viewing properties and providing guidance and advice
  5. Selecting the right property on which to make an offer
  6. Preparing a legally binding Contract of Purchase and Sale
  7. Negotiating favorable terms and conditions
  8. Assisting in arranging suitable financing if necessary
  9. Assisting in arranging property inspections and other needed services
  10. Assisting in the completion and possession process
  11. Most buyers prefer not to negotiate directly with sellers.  A buyer’s agent negotiates on your behalf and remains non-emotional/impartial
  12. Buyer’s agents help with due diligence and make sure sellers represent the condition of the property in a forthright manner

Working with a real estate agent gives the buyer confidence that they are entering into one of their life’s most significant transactions with a knowledgeable professional who is governed by rules, regulations and legislation.

Ski Touring the Hurley Pass

Date Posted: March 18, 2014

I just got back from a perfect mini-getaway and an amazing ski-touring trip in the Hurley Pass. Ski-touring is not always the first thing you think to do when you are visiting the Whistler and Pemberton areas but it is so much fun and something you should look into if you are looking for a little adventure.

There are several ski touring companies in Whistler and Pemberton, but this time, we went with Blackcomb Snowcats. The Hurley Pass is just north of Pemberton, hidden in the South Chilcotin Mountains. Backcountry Snowcats provides pick-up in either Whistler or Pemberton and multi-day trips provide lodging in their Backcountry Lodge.

Whistler is a Winter Wonderland

Date Posted: March 8, 2014

February storms arrived with force in Whistler and did not disappoint! Powder lovers rejoiced around town while enjoying over seven feet of light snow delivered by Mother Nature in February. And, it doesn’t end there. We have had 27 inches of snow in the last 7 days.

The winter season started off pretty sparse but I have been loving the amazing powder days we have been having recently.
